Job Description:

Position: Licensed Veterinary Technician, Wellness Team

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Schedule: Four 10 hour shifts

We’re on a mission to make veterinary care affordable for the 50% of pet-owning households struggling with the costs of basic vet visits. By providing subsidized spay, neuter, and wellness services, our team directly impacts families and rescuers, making a difference in the lives of pets and the people who love them.

As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in our clinic. You’ll leverage your expertise in surgical veterinary practice to support our goal of delivering high-quality, affordable care. Your responsibilities will range from assisting veterinarians in exams and surgeries to engaging with clients and their pets, ensuring a compassionate and efficient service.

Note: this role is part of our high-volume wellness team. Special consideration given to candidates interested or willing to cross-train into our HVHQ S/N or dental departments.

You Will:

  • Provide stellar care and support to pets and their owners

  • Assist in all aspects of veterinary services, including surgical procedures, medication preparation, and patient care

  • Run and manage technician appointments

  • Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and care

  • Manage client communications effectively, offering education and support

Ideal Candidate

  • Hold a current NYS Veterinary Technician License

  • 2+ years of experience in a high-volume clinic (preferred)

  • 2+ years experience in an animal clinic/hospital (required)

  • Excels in communication, teamwork, and has a proactive approach to learning and growth

  • Can meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods

  • Job Type: Full Time

  • Pay: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour

  • Schedule: 10 hour shifts, Monday through Thursday

  • New York State Veterinary Technician License required

  • Location: In-person in Flatbush Brooklyn
